About 200,000 copies of the black and white digest are distributed three times a year.

Cnn Money Asked whether the DEP plans to sell the magazine to a private publisher, Campbell said he doubts anyone would be willing to invest in a money-losing venture.

Business Opportunity Lead Mikics said "she was very upset" to learn about the magazine's likely demise. Her favorite piece was a photo essay about the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Warren County, where more than 20 tundra, timber and Arctic wolves roam relatively free.
